911 Vulture Ambulance

Emergency Response for poisoned vultures

Across the Greater Limpopo Transfrontier Conservation Area (GLTFCA), wildlife poisoning crises are escalating at alarming rates. In response, the Endangered Wildlife Trust (EWT) – with crucial donor support – has deployed a groundbreaking Vulture Ambulance: a mobile intensive care unit specifically designed to rescue and rehabilitate poisoned vultures.

This life-saving mobile station features:

1. Emergency medical equipment for on-site treatment
2. Specialised transport capabilities for critical cases
3. Expert veterinary care to maximize survival rates

Why This Matters:
Vultures play a critical ecological role as nature’s cleanup crew. Each poisoning event threatens these already endangered species and creates dangerous ripple effects across entire ecosystems.

Your support can help:
1. Expand emergency response efforts
2. Protect vulnerable vulture populations
3. Combat wildlife poisoning in the GLTFCA

Join us in this vital conservation battle – every contribution helps save these essential scavengers.

THE EWT TURNS 50

In 1973, one man’s vision sparked a movement that would become an unstoppable force against extinction. Today, as the Endangered Wildlife Trust (EWT) marks 50 years, we celebrate half a century of groundbreaking conservation wins – protecting vulnerable species and habitats across Africa.

Help Secure the Next 50 Years

To honor this milestone and power our future work, we’re building a Fund for the Future with a goal of raising R5 million. Your donation becomes a building block for:
Protecting endangered wildlife
Preserving critical ecosystems
Training future conservation leaders

Every donation builds our capacity to protect Africa’s wildlife. [Donate Now] to support EWT’s campaigns and become part of this vital legacy.
